for the 64th time on the following runs - Hahnenkamm, Streif and Ganslern.
From the 23rd to the 25th of January 2004, the world’s best skiers in the
Super-G, downhill and Slalom categories will meet here to test their skills.
The winner of the Hahnenkamm will be judged on their abilities in both the

Kitzbühel has a great reputation
on account of its international skiing competition and ski-sports in general.
Snowboarders, cross-country skiers and carvers will be more than happy with
the slopes and facilities on offer. Children are also very well catered
for here. Many ski schools, special children’s ski-schools and lots of leisure

There has been great
investment in the infrastructure for skiing in this region. The winter season
2003/2004 has many new features on offer:
The skiing area Kitzbühel has several innovations on offer in winter
2003/2004 - a 8 person cable car "Pengelstein I" that takes from
the valley station “Skirast”(between Kirchberg and Aschau) -
directly to the Pengelstein area and a new 4 person chairlift, an artificial
snowing system, a permanent race track, a floodlit slope and a toboggan
run on the Sportberg "Gaisberg".
For the winter season 2004/2005 there are plans for a 3-cable-car with a
connection between the skiing areas of Hahnenkamm/Pengelstein and Jochberg/Pass
Thurn. |
